Halloween

We got great use out of the Halloween costumes this year with quite a large number of fesitivies. (and the fact that Lilo wear's her cosutme every day - look at the pictures and you'll understand)
- The first party was actually a "Halloween Birthday party" for one of my coworker's daughters. It was really generous of them to invite us over, we're hoping to spend more time with them.
- There was a party for Lilo's class at a house in the back bay. Absolute Chaos. Lilo got into a huge screaming/crying fight with one of her best friends. They went on and on how they didn't like each other anymore, and kept crying. Both sets of parents had to come in and mediate. 20 seconds later, they were sitting next to each other and hugging again. It was bizzare; I've never seen Lilo act like that. But I guess she is a kid after all.
- Office Holiday Party - My office had a large Holiday party, much better then the ones that we didn't have in LA because there were so few kids. About 25 kids came in, and the departments decorated their areas. There were also games and fesitivites. Lilo had a breakdown again, this time during the donut eating contest. I think the sugar got to her. At home, the kids played with a new tea set from the GC's friend who was in town visiting.
- Halloween - For Halloween, we went down to the back bay again to meet some of her classmates. Every year, Clarendon park hosts a huge block party. There were around 200 kids running around this park. It was absolute INSANITY. They also offered Hay Rides around town on a giant truck - about 30 people at a time. Afterwards, we went trick or treating around the block. One large house allowed everyone to come into the house. Inside, they had decorated the house, and there were people posed in differnt horror scenes. However, the most interesting thing was the open bar (wine, beer, etc), and the open buffet available to all. Someone had too much money.
Finally, the day after Halloween, we made a pumpkin (a bit late) that Lilo's been wanting to do for Halloween. I'm glad we did it as she's been talking it up and confusing it with a snowman all month. Unfortunately, I made the outline with permanent marker..... (duh)
