Rock Climbing

Lilo's best friend, H, won a rock climbing event at Hammond Park in Brookline. She invited Lilo and their other friend, S, to come along. It was their first time, and all of them did well climbing up the rock. Lilo was fearless and made it all the way to the top! Apparently they have a 6-8 week session in their gym class when they get to 4th grade. Lucky kids! Ironically, the rock was located behind the Macy's in Brookline.

Memorial Day Weekend

Our friends had us up to their place in Biddeford, Maine for Memorial day week. It was an amazing weekend, an unexpected vacation for the Grand Councilwoman and I. Our friends have kids exactly Lilo and Stitch's age, and their youngest is just a bit older than number 3. It felt like we didn't see the kids all weekend, and our friends prepared an incredible feast for us, for every meal. We ate, and we ate, and we ate (very well).

Backyard Camping

I've been itching to take the kids camping, and have started gearing up. We did a "test run" in the backyard recently, to see how the kids would do. Lilo's friend Maddie joined us too. She was great. The GC refused to sleep outside, but she feel asleep when I went to take a shower. I was so tempted to leave her in there all night. The kids did well. I, on the other hand, didn't sleep well at all, with the rain and the street noises. Hope I will do better in nature!
